Job Description:

The SW Engineering lead has primary responsibility for defining and maintaining the architecture (and its associated documentation) and delegating ownership of portions of the architecture and documentation to members of the engineering team. The engineering lead also assigns specific tasks to team members, including both bug-fixing and new-development tasks, assesses progress of engineering deliverables (in coordination with the Program Manager). The engineering lead will also be looked upon to contribute significant coding deliverables.

Specific responsibilities are:
" Ensuring that engineering tasks are identified, scheduled, and completed in a timely manner according to the appropriate specifications, and meet project goals and corporate standards.
" Identifying and reporting risks and develops mitigation strategies.
" Ensures engineering specification documents are written, reviewed/approved and adhered to with appropriate change control.
" Coordinating all module development.
" Specifying, designing and delivering prototypes
" Ensuring that build tools & build environment integrate with Singapore SW engineering production
" Advocating tool set and equipment requirements for the development team.
" Ensuring compliance with industry device driver standards such as: Microsoft WHQL.
" Ensuring compliance with industry digital audio standards.

Skills required:
" Ability to provide technical leadership
" Ability to develop, schedule, and document SW development execution plans
" Ability to communicate clearly with multi-national marketing and engineering teams
" Ability to use problem solving techniques that result in the resolution of technical disputes/issues in a diplomatic fashion
" Ability to work in a team and to motivate and direct team members
" Experience leading the development and productization of large software architectures
" Ability to work vertically on large software projects, e.g., understand the implications of user interaction at all system levels
" Ability to internalize large bodies of code with or without documentation
" Strong C/C++ programming skills required, knowledge of XML and other markup languages a strong plus
" Experience with Mac and PC Graphical UI / Skin engines a strong plus
" Strong knowledge of MI and Audio applications
Ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to change
