Job Description:

System-on-Chip VLSI Architect

Eligible candidates will have at least five years proven experience in all phases of cost-effective, complex System-on-Chip ASIC development for embedded systems. Particular expertise in the front-end tasks of deriving system technical requirements from marketing requirements, system performance and bandwidth analysis, and system-level architecture specification are a must. All candidates must have outstanding verbal and written communications skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a cross-departmental team. The candidate must also be capable of making HW/FW tradeoffs in order to satisfy competing cost/performance requirements.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in all phases of SoC ASIC development from specification through silicon verification, as well as being able to assist in micro-architecture, coding, verification, and methodology enhancement. Experience in audio signal processing and
knowledge of industry-standard digital audio interfaces and standards is also highly desirable.

Requirements:
Min. BSEE plus five years experience in SoC ASIC development. Proven ability to define and architect cost-effective SoCs for embedded systems Ability to translate marketing requirements into cost-effective silicon and firmware solution architectures. Familiarity with all aspects of VLSI development, from specification to tapeout Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to find simple and cost-effective solutions to complex problems Outstanding analytical and critical thinking skills

Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of state-of-the-art SoC design and verification methodologies, including co-simulation and emulation Experience in audio signal processing, and familiarity with audio interface standards such a I2S, S/PDIF.
